Authorities at Wisconsin state's Department of Agriculture have issued a warning to a gas station owner in Merrill to stop offering gas discounts to senior citizens and youth sports supporters or face a lawsuit. According to officials, the two cents per gallon price break for senior citizens and discount gas cards for sports followers offered by the store owner violate Wisconsin's Unfair Sales Act, which requires retailers to sell gasoline for about 9. 2 percent more than the wholesale price.

A middle school music teacher has been reassigned to an adult education program by Johnson City school administrators after it was found that he asked nearly two female students to pose for a photograph in a mermaid costume. Les Leonard, who was a music teacher since last 17 years with the school, agreed to get transfer from Johnson City's Indian Trail Middle School to a vacant position in adult education. His new job includes testing coordination and also teaching some adult education.

A Detroit woman charged with throwing red grapes at school board members has been ordered to stay away from all board meetings and was given a $1,000 personal bond on Thursday today in 36th District Court. Agnes Hitchcock, head of the Call 'Em Out Coalition, an activist group, faces a May 11 pretrial hearing on a disorderly conduct charge.

Patients at a British hospital got their much desired hot cross buns on Monday rather than Easter Sunday after many of them complained to a local newspaper about not receiving them. The hospital authorities decided to do away with the bun distribution on Good Friday to avoid offending non-Christian patients.
