Mounted atop huge elephants and wielding long mallets, the Chivas Regal Scotland team nabs its second King's Cup Elephant Polo title Sunday, after scoring a golden goal in overtime to beat Thailand's Mullis Capital, 6-5.

About 1,500 people watched the fifth annual charity game, which raises money for Thailand's National Elephant Institute in Lampang. The tournament took place near Hua Hin, 80 miles southwest of Bangkok.

The field is 330 feet by 200 feet, about one-third the size of a horse polo field. The game has two seven-minute halves, with a 15-minute interval. Three elephants form a team.

Players from both teams are experienced elephant or horse polo players.

The rules of the game were developed by the World Elephant Polo Association, set up in 1982 to stage annual games in Nepal. Elephant polo tourneys have since been played in Sri Lanka.
