A 41-year-old man from Inverness, Scotland may be forced to destroy his 100ft replica of the Titanic which took him six years to build after the Highland Council said he needs to secure a retrospective planning permission to keep the model.
Maritime enthusiast Stan Fraser said he spent six years building the replica of the famous vessel in his back garden. But all his efforts would go in vain if he is ordered to destroy it.
He said, "I'm worried that if I don't get planning permission all the hard work will be down the drain."
The Scotsman reports Fraser is planning to install a working foghorn on the ship and put lights to illuminate the portholes.
