A class-action lawsuit is filed against Seattle's Virginia Mason Medical Center after it charges a patient $1,100 for clipping a toenail and running tests.

According to the AP
The state Consumer Protection Act allows triple damages of up to $10,000 per patient who provides documentation of such a billing.
