For the second time and in less than two weeks, another anonymous donor gave 31 $100 bills in a Christmas card to the Salvation Army's Red Kettle campaign at Boyer's IGA in Orwigsburg on Saturday.

The organization received 30 $100 as a donation at Pottsville earlier this month in a Frackville kettle.

"This is certainly unprecedented, the second one of the year," Adam W. Hench, captain of Salvation Army in Pottsville told The Republican & Herald.

According to a report, the Christmas card read: "Peggy, Merry Christmas and may God bless you. For all that you've been through this year, and you still find it in your heart to give of yourself is wonderful. And in the spirit of giving, I want you to be known as the person who collected the largest donation. May God shine on you."

And, it was signed, "Leo."

The 75-year-old Wetefsky has been a volunteer for the Salvation Army for almost 15 years and $3,100 donation was the biggest donation she has ever gotten.

"I don't know his last name. I only know him to see him. He had given me money last year, five $100 bills for the last four years straight," Wetefsky told The Associated Press report.

The latest donation would make Margaret Wetefsky a top bell ringer and the two donations can help the Pottsville Salvation Army attain its 60 thousand dollar donation goal this year.
