For example, on Tuesday, a Louisville, Kentucky poll worker was arrested and charged with assault and interfering with an election for allegedly choking a voter and pushing the voter out the door.

A political party formed by Dutch pedophiles in May wants to run in the national elections next month, but the party's secretary, Norbert de Jonge, says he doubts the Brotherly Love, Freedom and Diversity party (PNVD) will be able to get enough support. The PNVD says it wants to lift the taboo on pedophilia, and says it is in favor of lowering the age of consent from 16 to 12 and legalizing child pornography and bestiality.

A bride walked down the aisle with her baby 11 hours after she gave birth. Nicky Heys' baby came three months earlier on the eve of her wedding. But she still arrived on time for the matrimonial church service. The eleven hours old baby, Harry, weighed in at only 1 lb 12 oz (800 grams). The 35-year-old secretary said she thought her stomach pains were caused by nervousness as a result of her impending nuptials. When she was rushed to a hospital, the labor pains increased.

One of the main backers of London Fashion Week Sunday rejected British government calls for a ban on wafer-thin models as the fashion industry faced a furor over its catwalks. Marks and Spencer chief executive Stuart Rose, who is chairman of the British Fashion Council that is organizing the event starting Monday, tells Reuters, "Outright bans and indeed legislation is definitely not a route we want to go down. "

The Friends of the Asian Elephant, a leading conservationist in Thailand on Monday accused the government of damaging the nation's endangered Asian elephant population by approving a proposal to swap five of them and other animals with white tigers at a Chinese zoo. Zoraida Salwala, secretary of the group revealed the government has approved a plan to swap some 29 animals, including five elephants and several chimpanzees with two rare white tigers and dozens of other animals.
