A farmer in Hamburg, Germany is fitting his flock of sheep with miniature Wellington boots to prevent them from getting infections.
Businessman Wilhelm Fennen from Boesel designed the PVC shoes for the sheep.
He said he started making all-weather boots for dogs, but soon a farmer in Hamburg, Germany asked him to design similar boots for his flock.
According to Ananova, Fennen explains: "The shoes are not meant for fashion but for protection, particularly when a pet has cut or hurt its paws."
"The request for sheep shoes came from a farmer who wanted to protect his animals from an infection that was going around."
Fennen has also designed dog boots for an entire police dog unit.
