A man from Apex, a Raleigh suburb, is facing charges of animal cruelty after 80 sheep were found in unhealthy conditions in his home. Authorities were forced to euthanize about 30 animals after they were found to have serious health problems. According to an AP report, police Sgt. Robert Towell said that the owner of the house, David Watts, "considered them pets" and even took the sheep out for a walk in the neighborhood on a leash.
