Survey Finds Women More Clothes-Conscious Than Men

August 18, 2007
Though many women would agree that they are obsessed about clothes without any argument, now there is a survey to prove the fact. A recent poll conducted by a Canadian marketing company has found that women are far more clothes-conscious than men are. Almost 40 percent of the women questioned agreed they own five or more pairs of black shoes and considered it "OK," while only 15 percent of men agree. When the women were asked about the number of outfits they would need for a weekend away, sixty-seven percent of them said they would pack three or four, matched by 44 percent of men.

Would-be Robber Forgets To Bring Bag, Leaves Without Money

August 7, 2007
An unrehearsed robber had to drop his bank looting plans after he apparently forgot to take along a carry bag to put the stolen money. According to authorities, a young white man, in his 20s, entered a local Chase Bank branch early Monday and passed the cashier a piece of cardboard that read, "Give me your money. ""He told a teller to 'hurry up,' but when she asked him if he had a bag to put the money into, it must have flustered him. He ran off without any cash," Detective Tom Bisio of the Oakland County Sheriff's Lyon Township substation told the Detroit News.

Police Seize More Than 1,500 Pairs Of Girl's Shoes From Wisconsin Man's Home

May 30, 2007
Authorities in Waukesha, WI, have taken a man into custody who they say liked to smell girls' shoes and had stored as many as 1,500 pairs at his home after stealing them from various schools in the area. The man was arrested after a surveillance video showed him entering North High School on May 20 and leaving in a vehicle. Investigators traced the vehicle to a Kenosha address, which led to the man in question. Police records showed that the man was convicted of a similar shoe burglary at Kenosha Tremper High School in 2005.
