In a bid to mask their theft of a toy, four men allegedly triggered a small blast in a Wal-Mart store using swimming pool chemicals. The officers at Henry County Police are shocked at the incident for they say the men perhaps turned a shoplifting misdemeanor into "one of terrorist acts."
Lt. Jason Bolton revealed the incident to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution how the four men entered the Wal-Mart Sunday and after shoplifting a toy, mixed swimming pool chemicals together to create a smoky explosion.
"They made their escape in the chaos that ensued," Bolton said. "It's just hard to believe they did something like this to shoplift something as insignificant as a toy."
Four people were hospitalized for respiratory problems while another three individuals were released after being treated by emergency workers at the site. style="FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Verdana; mso-ansi-language: EN">Four people were hospitalized for respiratory problems while another three individuals were released after being treated by emergency workers at the site.
