A Muslim man in the state of West Bengal, India, married his daughter and made her pregnant claiming he had divine sanction for his incestuous act, officials said Monday. Afazuddin Ali, 36, who has five children, married his 15 year old eldest daughter six months back. He informed his wife Sakina of his decision claiming that he had divine sanction from Allah.

A chestnut from the tree that diarist Anne Frank hid in to escape the Nazis is being put up for sale on eBay. The idea was that of Charles Kujiper, who lives next door to the immortalized house where Anne Frank hid from Nazi German occupiers. "I had this idea for a few years, and I decided to put the chestnut up for auction," Kukiper said.

A Manhattan restaurant, which entered the records book last week for selling the world's most expensive dessert for $25,000, was forced to shut down Thursday after city health inspectors found vermin on the premises. According to the Health Department, officials found a live mouse, mouse droppings in multiple places, flies and dozens of live cockroaches, failing Serendipity 3 on the Upper East Side its second consecutive health inspection in a month.
