The small Southeastern Asia city-state of Singapore will host its first-ever Sex Expo in November after receiving approval from the tightly-controlled city-state's authorities, according to a local newspaper report on Sunday.
The Singapore police have already imposed certain conditions and prohibitions for organizers of the love-making convention. No obscene acts can be put on display and all exhibits and promotions will face government scrutineers. Also, only patrons aged 21 or older will be able to participate in the convention.
Singapore, a tiny, wealthy city-state of 4.2 million, has been attempting to shake off its well-known 'stuffy' image, and officials say they are trying to loosen the shackles to cater to a generation exposed to overseas influences. Only last year popular American television shows such as 'Sex and The City' and 'Six Feet Under' have been allowed to be viewed in Singapore, but with only heavy editing and censorship.
