Asians find shopping therapeutic and the activity has now become a national pastime for many Asian countries. A study made by ACNeilsen said Singapore, Hong Kong and Thailand rank the highest in the world where citizens shop twice a week as a form of entertainment.

More than 50 public toilet cleaners in Singapore are folding their sleeves to take up an intensive 3-day course that will upgrade their status and provide them with extra skills required to clean the city's toilets. The training is part of a nationwide sanitation campaign that seeks to give the city a facelift.

Cypriot women are trying to raise awareness of breast cancer while at the same time gaining a spot in the Guinness Book of Records. The organizers are attempting to connect up to 100,000 bras on April 30 to form the world's longest chain of bras.

A picture of a woman known for her modest living and big heart, garnered one of the top bids in a fine arts auction. The highest taking at the "Larasati-Pictures of Asia" fine arts auction was for a stunning image of "Mother Teresa" by renowned Indian painter Maqbool Fida Husain.

Three Singaporeans on a mission to find a karate legend are found huddled together inside an abandoned car on a north Japanese mountainside. Local media reports say one of the boys told Hirosaki police his dying father had told his group to search for the master. Thirteen people set out from Singapore but one group was lost on the slopes of Mount Iwaki.
