Former Microsoft software developer Charles Simonyi is set to become a space tourist for a visit to the International Space Station (ISS), the orbital tourism firm Space Adventures reported. Simonyi, 58, will ride a Russian-built Soyuz spacecraft to the ISS where he will stay in fairly low star accommodation for a week.

A national outcry to keep the public toilets clean on the tiny island-state of Singapore has been voiced by its citizens, according to a national survey released on Tuesday. A high degree of public dissatisfaction was expressed in the survey, despite fines for filthy toilets and national campaigns to keep them clean.

A Singapore teen's enthusiastic guitar playing ended tragically when it caused him to fall to his death. Li Xiao Meng, 16, was mimicking a rock star while bouncing on his bed. He jumped so hard that he flew out of a third floor window, reports Reuters citing The Straits Times.

Tourists on their way to Germany's Sachsenhausen concentration camp museum were greeted by women giving a Hitler salute and singing a neo-Nazi song. Prosecutors said Thursday the 18- and 19-year-old women have been arrested. It is illegal in Germany to use Nazi symbols or express Nazi ideas, reports Reuters
