NY May Announce $1000 Pigeon-Feeding Fine

In an attempt to curb the effects of the large flock sizes of pigeons, now identified as "rats with wings," New York City Councilman Simcha Felder announced Monday that a proposal will be submitted calling for a $1000 fine to anyone who is caught feeding the birds. Councilman Felder explained that the proposal was created upon the facts that pigeon droppings contained particular chemicals, specifically ammonia and uric acids, which can corrode city infrastructures, and rust steel structures. The report added extra weight to this statement by furthering that a single pigeon produces an average of 25 pounds of excrement per year.

Malaysian Police Seizes 115 Cobras From Trader

Some 115 venomous Asiatic cobras were seized by Malaysian police authorities from a wildlife trader who is now under police interrogation. The snakes were found in his pet shop locked in several cages in northern Perlis state, Simpang Empat, official said Wednesday. The shop's owner was arrested by the Malaysia's Wildlife and National Parks Department (Perhilitan) when his shop was raided on Monday.

Poll Finds Ghost Believers Aren't Alone

For those of you who think there's a ghostly explanation for those bumps in the night, you're not alone. A new poll shows 34 percent of people believe in ghosts. A new poll by The Associated Press and Ipsos also found 34 percent believe in UFOs and 19 percent believe in spells or witchcraft. Another 48 percent believe in ESP.
