Marshall County, West Virginia resident Edgar D. Hellar got his nose partially bit and one eye damaged when another man attacked him during a fight at a bar. The deputy present there had to take out his taser gun to subdue Michael Brant Tustin, 34, of Cameron from hurting Hellar more. Hellar was admitted to the hospital where plastic surgeons grafted his skin to repair his nose. His cornea also was scratched when Tustin tried to stick a finger behind his eye during the fight at the Travelers bar in Marshall County.

A man from Thief River Falls, Minnesota calls himself lucky to be alive after he had a tete-a-tete with a gray wolf. Mike Olson was working under his dad's deck for about 20 minutes when he saw the huge wolf with big eyes looking at him on Monday. Without wasting any time he just came out told his dad Erling about what he saw. "It was probably 6 feet away," he told AP. "It was just laying down. It had its head up and was just looking at me. "

Thirty-nine-year-old Debbie Bird claims she is allergic to modern living and says mobile phones, microwaves and cars are banned from her house. Bird said she is sensitive to electromagnetic fields (emf) or "smog" created by computers, microwave ovens, mobile phones and some cars, and that she develops skin rashes and her eyelids swell to three times their normal size if she gets exposed to them.
