Being skinny can sometimes be beneficial for jail inmates as it was for a 28-year-old man who literally squeezed through small windows on Gary City Jail cell doors by taking off his clothes.

Artez Kenyetta Knox squeezed his escape out of the windows on Saturday that are just the right size for a tray of food to slide in. However, Knox, who weighs 130 pounds, was caught walking in a jail hallway by a correction officer.

According to AP reports, Knox had dressed and was trying to find an unlocked door when he was found by a police officer. Police have now charged him with robbery and attempted escape Monday in Lake Superior Court in Crown Point.

Diane Poulton, a spokeswoman for Lake County prosecutor's office said that Knox faces up to 28 years in prison if convicted. Knox was arrested Saturday for robbery.
