Pirate Flag Ordered Taken Down From Garden After Council Declares Crackdown on Pirates

The Hampshire Council has ordered a 47-year old woman to remove a pirate flag from her garden following a crackdown on pirates. Carol Clark, who hails from Whitchurch, said she shocked when told to have her skull and crossbones flag from her garden by local authorities citing breaches on advertising rules.

The remains of a giant rat, estimated to weigh about a ton, was discovered in Uruguay proving that mammoth rodent once roamed the face of the earth some four million years ago. Archaeologists said they have unearthed the half-meter long skull of the giant prehistoric rat, which by any standard, is bigger than a bull, in a chunk of rock in Rio de La Plata on the coast of Uruguay.

Egyptian Police Officer Allegedly Orders Driver To Run Over Young Woman

An Egyptian woman was run over by a minibus allegedly by order of a police officer on Monday. According to local reports, Reda Bakr, 21, was attempting to stop police from arresting her brother's wife. Bakr stood in front of the bus as it attempted to find the other woman, who was to be arrested for buying a stolen gas tank.

A U. S. appeals court has upheld a worker's compensation claim for a pole dancer who was injured while performing in a strip club six years ago. Court records show exotic dancer Angela Hobson undergoing a surgery for a herniated disc in her cervical spine (the seven vertebrae at the base of the skull) for the injuries at the Shangri-La West club in Fort Wayne on 20 December 2001.

British artist Damien Hirst sold his sculpture of a diamond-encrusted skull worth $100 million, an all time high price for a piece of work sold by a single living artist, the London gallery said Thursday. Hirst named the unique piece of art, "For the Love of God. " The masterpiece is a skull cast in platinum with 8,601 diamonds. When the original skull was subjected to carbon dating for authenticity, it was found that his model dated back to the 18th century.
