Gheorghe Stirbu, 61, got the shock of his life when authorities refused to renew his identity papers last week, insisting that their records showed he has been dead for eight years. A clerk even showed him a death certificate that proves that he passed away on March 3, 1999 due to breathing difficulties. He was also supposedly buried shortly thereafter.

A corpse reported to the authorities Tuesday in Bad Segeberg, Germany was later found out as a drunken man in a Halloween costume, police said. The man fell into a drunken sleep while on a train ride home from a party in Hamburg. His zombie-like costume was mistaken by fellow passengers for a corpse.

Research has revealed an increase in the number of naked sleepwalking guests at the Travelodge hotel chains, and has led to the company's management giving hotel staff extra training in handling the awkward instances. Through a "sleepwalkers guide" issued by the hotel, the staff has been advised to exercise some precautionary procedures, such as keeping a supply of towels at the reception desk, to prevent the situations from becoming more embarrassing.

German playboy Rolf Eden filed charges against a 19-year-old Berlin teenager for refusal to sleep with him, claiming it was age discrimination. According to Eden, both returned to his place after a night in the city. When they were about to have sex, the teenager refused saying Eden was too old for her. "That was shattering. No woman has ever said that to me before," Eden lamented to tabloid reporters. The 77-year-old playboy known as the king of Berlin nightlife in the 1950s and '60s said the incident "crushed" him.

A drunk tourist swimming in a river in Queensland, was attacked by a crocodile and was able to stave it off. Shockingly after emerging from the river after a fierce fight with the reptile, he fell asleep at his campsite because he had too many drinks prior. According to a local newspaper, Matt Martin sustained gashes to his face after the encounter.
