In an ironic turn of events, a man walking home from his 55th birthday party, who friends and family believed was too drunk to drive, was struck and killed by another vehicle. According to police, Benjamin A. Wright's keys were taken at the party.

Hookah smoking, the latest alternative habit to cigarette smoking, is found to be more harmful users' health then originally thought. A new study in the November issue of the Journal of Periodontology finds hookah smoking is just as bad, and in some cases worse, than cigarette smoking for users' teeth.

A woman dressed as a witch robbed a bank and vanished in the smoke of an exploding security dye pack, then apparently reappeared in street clothes and held up another bank, police said. The first robbery was reported when a woman wearing a shiny purple witch hat, cloak and long blond wig handed the teller a note indicating she had a weapon and demanding cash, Lacey police Lt. Phil Comstock says.

Cats have long been blamed for triggering asthma attacks in humans, but veterinarians in Scotland say it may also work the other way around, that cat sneeze you hear might be from you. Irritants such as cigarette smoke, dusty homes, and human dandruff can raise inflammation in feline lungs and worsen pre-existing cases of asthma in cats.

Tragedy strikes as a St. Joseph, Missouri man who weighed over 600 lbs dies late Saturday night after his trailer caught fire. Fire officials say 45-year old Timothy Lee Morris dialed 911 from his home when the fire broke out Saturday evening, but couldn't get out by himself due to his weight. His daughters, ages 8 and 13, called neighbors, but they were unable to move him.
