The world's oldest man, who turned 112 on Tuesday, said he wants to live forever. Tomoji Tanabe of Miyazaki, Japan made the statement after a Japanese mayor, who brought him a bouquet and congratulations on his birthday, asked the centenarian how many years he would like to live. Japan Today quoted Tanabe as saying, "I want to live indefinitely. I don't want to die. "

A new hazard was inadvertently added at the Centennial Golf Course in Oregon. A 1. 5-acre fire burned between the sixth and seventh holes while golfers around it tried to drive the green and sink putts. "I was really playing well until this happened," joked Jim Pawlak of Berkeley, Calif. His golfing buddy, Steve Scholl, chimed in, "I was under par when that happened. "

A north Vancouver condo owner is taking her neighbor to the British Columbia Supreme court for smoking cigarettes on her own patio, which is located beneath the plaintiff's apartment. Maureen Nicholson claims her neighbor's 10 cigarette-a-day habit causes "toxic, noxious, carcinogenic and pungent smoke" to enter her home. She says she has asked her neighbor to stop smoking and has complained to the condominium council in the building.
