A 22-year-old Saudi youth shocked security officers at Cairo airport with his bagful of snakes, baby crocodiles and chameleons. Alarmed by the odd readings of his bags at the departure gate, the officers searched the bags and found the mass of slithery creatures to their horror.

A pet Chihuahua is enjoying a host of praises from everyone after his recent heroic deed. Tiny Zoey risked its own life by saving a baby from a rattlesnake, which tried to attack the kid. Acting like a real bulldog, five-pound Zoey barked as ferociously as she could and stood in the snake's path and was herself bitten. The child Booker West was splashing his hands in a birdbath in his grandparents' northern Colorado back yard when the incident took place.

A building owner in Cairo used a strange trick to kick out three tenants from their apartments. The owner threw snakes directly in front of their front doors, Al Akhbar, a daily Egyptian newspaper reported. The snakes crept into the apartments and scared the tenants' families and their children.

A 5-foot-long rattlesnake, which was spotted swimming in a saltwater creek, was killed by a man on a South Carolina barrier island resort after it became a threat to a family. According to UPI news, Lonnie Deal of Statesville, North Carolina said he is comfortable around snakes and collected them as a boy. But when a rattlesnake raced toward a man, his wife and three kids, he decided to kill the reptile on spot.

An eight-year-old two headed albino rat snake at an aquarium in St. Louis has died. The reptile, named "We" was not only unique in having two heads and a rare light brown color but it also amazed scientists by its long life-span. Most two-headed snakes perish within a week or two of their birth. According to We's caretaker, Leonard Sonnenschein, more than a million people have seen the reptile since the World Aquarium acquired it in 1999.
