Last week's freak snowstorm in western New York knocked down several trees and stranded thousands in dark. But Georgianna Verrastro believes that her home was spared by the storm because a higher power was watching over her family that day.
As proof she mentioned what happened to a statue of Jesus near her home.
The storm brought down two large trees limbs that fell on the statue of Jesus, forming a cross. Video taken by a local TV station showed the branches leaning against the statue in a way that it looked as though Jesus was carrying the wooden cross.
The falling limbs only did minor damage to the statue located behind a former Catholic school in Buffalo.
Verrastro told the TV station that she was amazed at the sight adding that her home didn't suffer any damage or even lose power. More than 400,000 people lost power after the record snow storm hit Buffalo and parts of the MidWest last Thursday.
