A 16-year old boy who slept for the whole of 2007 in a tent in his garden just to raise $5,000 claims he now finds it hard to sleep in his own bed. Steve Young, of Borough Green, Kent said after spending a year in his tent, he was longing for a nice warm bed but now that he's back in his old bed, he just cannot get to sleep.

Local officials responding to a call about a dead body at a cemetery found themselves looking at a dummy filled with a straw, with a pumpkin for a head. According to police, the report was filed by a woman on cross-country skis, who said that she saw what seemed to be a dead body on a park bench at the Riverview Cemetery.

Police in Bethlehem, New York found the bodies of two suicide victims and a woman who failed to kill herself with drug overdose on New Year's Day. The fatalities are believed to be a 73-year-old man and his mother-in-law in her 80s. Both died from overdose of different prescription medicines. The survivor is believed to be the man's 58-year-old wife. They are believed to be have made a pact to commit suicide on Jan. 1 at their house along Stony Brook Drive.

A Japanese soldier from World War II stationed in Burma (now Myanmar), sent a postcard to his friend was received after 64 years after it was sent. The postcard was kept by a former U. S. soldier and a Japanese exchange student. According to Mukogawa Women's University, the card traveled in three different countries and one state, including Burma, Nagasaki, Arizona and Hawaii before reaching Shizuo Nagano, 80, in southern Kochi prefecture.

estern Europe's highest peak Mont Blanc (French for white mountain) is taller than ever as snow piled atop its summit, experts described it as a weather change related occurrence. The height was found to be 15, 783. 79 ft (4,810. 90 m) on Sept. 15 and 16 respectively - a 7. 05 ft (2. 15 m) increase in two years.
