It's going to be a white Christmas in Baguio City, the summer capital of the Philippines, as some businessmen from South Korea who have made the city their second home, have revealed plans of returning the favor by bringing snow during the holiday season. Acting city Mayor Reinaldo Bautista Jr said some Korean entrepreneurs have pledged to invest in snow-blowing machines that would be deployed atop buildings to produce snowflakes that would fall on downtown Baguio.

Animals are normally expected to exude bizarre behaviors. But this one's definitely for the record: A rare black swan is trying to woo a plastic swan paddle boat for hire on a German lake. Biologists says that the Black Australian Swan is definitely showing all the typical signs of love such as circling around its plastic lover, staring endlessly at it and making crooning noises.

A Japanese monkey escaped the Roanoke city zoo and fled to a nearby forest on Sunday. Officials shut down the park on Monday and embarked on a search in the neighboring forest where they heard her up the trees. Dubbed Oops, the 20-pound Japanese macaque and her siblings were transferred from their cells for cleaning before she vanished early Sunday.

A woman in Russia reportedly survives a fall from the 11th floor of her apartment building. Russia's Channel One television says Tuesday that the 21-year-old woman from the Ural Mountains region of Bashkortostan is being treated for concussion, bruises and a displaced spine.
