The U. S. Postal Service deems Sergeant Jason Lyon unfit for delivering mail. They have declared the New York National Guardsman suffers from a "physical impairment" that prohibits a job as a carrier. Lyon was wounded during a roadside bomb attack in Iraq that killed three of his friends. He later sprained an ankle.

Mexican police arrest a soldier who shot and killed two lower-ranking men for refusing to clean their base. Police spokesman Angel Lopez tells Reuters that Alonso German shot the two subordinates at an army base near Cancun.

A Chinese soldier has been fined for stealing from the happiest place on earth, Disneyland. According to Ming Pao Daily, a soldier stationed in Hong Kong stole a Mickey Mouse key ring from Hong Kong Disneyland.

A Chinese soldier stationed in Hong Kong is fined for stealing a Mickey Mouse key chain from Hong Kong Disneyland. Zhang Qinggang, 27, was charged with theft and ordered to pay HK$1,000 (US$129) for nabbing the HK$35 (US$4. 50) item from a gift shop at the theme park in January.

An overzealous father who drugged his children's tennis opponents in order to boost their chances of winning, has been sentenced to eight years in prison. Christophe Fauviau, 46, who was found guilty of "premeditated administration of a harmful substance that caused death without intention to do so", had admitted to putting medicine in players' drinks.
