A South Korean man is claiming to be the biological father of American skiier Toby Dawson.
Dawson won the bronze medal in men's freestyle skiing moguls at the Turin Games on Wednesday, reports Reuters.
Kim Jae-Su said Dawson strongly resembles his son, Bong-Suk, who was lost in a busy market in Pusan in 1981, according to the official Yonhap news agency.
"(Dawson) just looks like him," Kim told broadcaster YTN. "I could tell right away when I saw his pictures."
After winning the bronze medal, many media outlets reported that Dawson was searching for his biological parents.
He was found in Pusan when he was three years old and adopted by ski instructors in Colorado.
Dawson is scheduling a news conference on Tuesday to address the adoption issue.
He said about the scrutiny last week: "I have had the question come up a lot at the Olympics. The only problem is I have had people (falsely) claiming to be my birth parents. I am taking this process very slow," he said.
