Hitler's Champagne Sells For $3,359 At British Auction

Adolf Hitler's personal stock of champagne was won by an anonymous Swedish bidder in a British auction Friday. The bottle of Moet et Chandon champagne dated 1937 was auctioned and purchased for $3,359 at Charterhouse auctioneers in Sherbourne, southwest England.

China Sees Profit In Panda Poop By Making Souvenirs

In an attempt to gain awareness for the endangered panda bear, the world's largest giant panda research base in southwest China's Sichuan Province has developed a dung-for-profit scheme that makes souvenirs from the animal's waste. Now you can have odor-free souvenirs ranging from bookmarks to Olympic-themed statues of the animals made especially by the Chengdu Giant Panda Breeding center, which houses about 40 bamboo-fed pandas that produce almost a ton of dung a day.

Chinese Doctors Find Six Sewing Needles In Fussy Baby

A couple in Southwest China were left in shock when doctors told them that the reason for their one-year-old baby's unusual crankiness and loss of appetite was the six sewing needles inserted at different places all over his body. The discovery was made earlier this month when the upset couple took Xiao Yu to a doctor and an X-ray revealed six needles in his body - two in the scrotum, two in the chest, one in the head and one in the abdomen. The child's parents, who work at a bag factory in southern China's Guangzhou city, said they had no idea how the needles ended up in their son and that they don't know of any stranger who might have come into contact with the boy.

California Man Sets World Record For Hot Dog Eating; 59 1/2 Dogs And Buns

A California man set a new world record for hot dog eating. Joey Chestnut, 23, ate 59 1/2 hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes. The record was set at the Southwest Regional Hot Dog Eating Championship in Tempe, AZ.

Mined Atlantic Ocean Shipwreck Yields $500 Million In Treasure

It sounds like a tale from a storybook but the sunken treasure found in the Atlantic Ocean Friday is real and worth $500 million. Odyssey Marine Exploration deep-sea explorers found a shipwreck that yielded 17-tons of colonial-era gold and silver coins in an undisclosed area in the ocean. They brought the booty to the surface in plastic containers to be analyzed.
