A couple in Southwest China were left in shock when doctors told them that the reason for their one-year-old baby's unusual crankiness and loss of appetite was the six sewing needles inserted at different places all over his body. The discovery was made earlier this month when the upset couple took Xiao Yu to a doctor and an X-ray revealed six needles in his body - two in the scrotum, two in the chest, one in the head and one in the abdomen. The child's parents, who work at a bag factory in southern China's Guangzhou city, said they had no idea how the needles ended up in their son and that they don't know of any stranger who might have come into contact with the boy.
