World's Best Online Daters To Receive 'Speed-Dating Medals'

Phillipines: Total Ban On Cigarette Ads And Sponsorships

Beginning Tuesday, cigarette ads and sponsorships will be banned in the Philippines. The Tobacco Regulation Act of 2003 mandates a total ban on cigarette ads effective July 1, said Dr. Maricar Limpin, president of the Framework Convention on Tobacco Control-Alliance Philippines (FCAP).

Legally Blind Iowa Man Bowls Perfect 300

A 78-year-old legally blind man from northwest Iowa whose nickname is "The Hammer" bowled a perfect game in league play. Dale Davis pounded out 2 consecutive strikes for a 300 score Saturday evening, even though his vision is peripheral -- he can't see straight ahead. For the past decade, Davis has suffered from from macular degeneration, a chronic eye disease, which prevents him from seeing see out of his left eye and limiting peripheral vision in his right eye.

Priest Sent Off After Throwing Shirt At Referee

earing their best stiletto heels, around 150 young women dashed in Amsterdam's 'Stiletto Run', in a bid to win the $15,000 (10,000 euros) cash prize. The annual race on PC Hooft street, on its third run, has fast grown in popularity and has been imitated in Germany, Sweden, Poland and Russia. The race's motto is "Shopping is a Sport" and friendly competition is encouraged, but usually not practiced by the aggressive participants.
