Girl's Death Blamed On Muscle Cream

A 17-year-old's death is being blamed on a chemical commonly found in muscle creams. A medical examiner says the girl died from using too much of the creams which poisoned her system. Arielle Newman died in April after her body absorbed high levels of methyl salicylate, an anti-inflammatory that's found in sports creams. It can be found in brands like Icy Hot and Bengay. Poisonings and deaths from the chemical are very rare.

Colorado Man Arrested For Stealing $6,000 In Used Women's Underwear

A 43-year-old man from Colorado man faces a felony theft charge in the disappearance of more than 1,300 women's undergarments near the Colorado State University campus. Police arrested Chih Hsien Wu for stealing panties, sports bras, stretch pants, and pantyhose from apartment complex laundry rooms in the Campus West area between September 23 and May 18.

Authorities at Wisconsin state's Department of Agriculture have issued a warning to a gas station owner in Merrill to stop offering gas discounts to senior citizens and youth sports supporters or face a lawsuit. According to officials, the two cents per gallon price break for senior citizens and discount gas cards for sports followers offered by the store owner violate Wisconsin's Unfair Sales Act, which requires retailers to sell gasoline for about 9. 2 percent more than the wholesale price.

A couple in New Zealand were "horrified" after they discovered an unused condom inside a small sports bag that came with a happy meal gift bag they bought for their seven year old granddaughter. The incident happened Tuesday night when Suzanne and Rowan Hatch stopped at a Wellington McDonald's outlet and bought the gift pack as a pre-theatre treat for the girl.

Nepali Athlete Learns About Guinness Mention After Eight Years Book Comes Out

A Nepali sports person, whose name was featured in the Guinness Book of World Records, for clocking the fastest run at the highest altitude, only learned about it eight years after setting the record. A news report published in The Kathmandu Post said the long distance runner, Hari Bahadur Rokaya was stunned when he found his name in the golden jubilee edition of the Guinness Book four months ago.
