A Clinton man has been accused of drunken driving after he tried to perform unsuccessful driving tricks with his sports utility vehicle onto the ice-covered Mississippi River near Sabula. According to officials with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources, Steven A. Parker, 51, is accused of driving his car off a boat ramp to do "doughnuts" on Sunday. Unfortunately the ice broke and his vehicle sank in 4 feet of water, about 30 feet from shore.

ESPN Zone sports bar has reportedly organized the Ultimate Couch Potato Contest and has found four people who are willing to compete for the title. The winner is likely to be determined Tuesday or Wednesday and the prize is a $5,000 package including a 42 inch high definition television and a trophy.

A school bus driver has won the right to keep his job and wear his festive santa hat. Bauman & Sons bus company had ordered Kenneth Mott to cease wearing the hat because a child didn't believe in Santa Claus and was bothered by it. Kenneth Mott, who sports a long, white beard, received a complaint from the child's parent. He had been taken to wearing the santa hat every Christmas since he started at the job five years ago.

In the first ever such case, an Indian runner, who won a silver medal in the women's 800 meters in the Asian Games is likely to be stripped off the medal failing a gender test. Santhi Soundarajan won the women's 800 meters but reports revealed that Santhi did not have the sexual characteristics of a woman, Indian TV reported.

A Chinese transsexual has designed a dress made out of condom in an effort to promote safe sex. Twenty-five-year-old Liu Xuanyi from Nanning City, China used at least 300 condoms to make the racy outfit.
