"Miracle" Egyptian Mother Wants To Hold And Name Her Septuplets Soon

The "miracle" woman from Egypt, who gave birth to septuplets on Saturday, hopes to soon be able to hold her newborn babies, doctors said Sunday. The 27-year-old Ghazala Khamis delivered four boys and three girls, who are reported to be in stable condition, at the el-Shatbi hospital in the coastal Egyptian city of Alexandria on Saturday.

Reports Say British Hospitals Under Attack By Fleas, Mice, Other Pests

British hospitals are under attack from a variety of pests, according to reports obtained under U. K. 's Freedom of Information Act. From January 2006 to March 2008, almost 20,000 incidents of infestations were reported by the National Health System. They included sightings of rats, mice, fleas, bedbugs, ants and cockroaches.

British Wildlife Guide Teaches Heron To Fly

A local wildlife guide has taught an orphaned heron how to fly by flapping his arms and squawking. Gary Zammit, a 42-year old wildlife expert at the Gwel an Mor complex in Portreath, Cornwall, said that he managed to teach Dude, a heron he raised from a chick to an adult, how to take to the skies by first running across the field with food in his pockets. The food led the bird to follow Zammit, who then spread his arms and flapped them.

Armed Bank Robbers Crash Forklift To Steal $6.3 Million In Denmark

Armed men in masks stole an estimated $6. 3 million USD (30 million DKK) in what authorities say is the second largest bank heist in Danish history. Police say six robbers forcibly entered a cash depot in Glostrup, a suburban area in Copenhagen, using a forklift to smash through the building's wall. According to the International Herald Tribune, the robbers were armed with assault rifles and submachine guns. A number of the depot's employees were in the building when the incident took place, but no one was injured.

A video of a U. S. Marine throwing a puppy off a cliff has spread throughout the Internet, inciting rage among thousands of views. The video showed a grinning Marine holding a black-and-white puppy by the scruff of the neck. "Cute puppy, huh?" a Marine is heard saying, followed by a reply from a second Marine; "oh, so cute little puppy. " The Marine holding the puppy then pulls his hand back and hurls the dog off a rocky ravine; the puppy can be heard yelping all the way down until it hits the ground.
