Millionaire Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner, (R-Wis. ), is probably the luckiest man in the House after winning a third time in the state lottery. Already a millionaire and heir to the Kimberly-Clark fortune, Sensenbrenner won a $250,000 jackpot on a $2 ticket in the District of Columbia lottery in 1997.

Spring is the best season for climbing and 23 more adventurers have just scaled the top of the world's highest peak, Mount Everest in Nepal. The latest party to reach the summit consisted of 11 are Nepali Sherpas, five Americans, three Britons, two Canadians and one Turk. According to Nepal's Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, over 200 climbers have reached the summit this season. May is a particularly good time for mountain climbing in Nepal. A total of 23 expeditions are scheduled this season alone.

Most of the traffic accidents occur on Fridays than any other day of the week, British motoring group Accident Exchange has found. As most people are already making plans and are in a hurry to rush home, nearly 17 percent of road accidents occur on Friday. UPI quotes Accident Exchange official Steve Evans as saying, "Friday is obviously the worst as the mentality is to rush home. We've all done the daydream about what we're doing that night, or over the weekend. "

A pair of paintings discovered by Britain's Queen Elizabeth while spring cleaning have been confirmed as authentic Caravaggios worth $134 million. The queen unearthed two works by the Baroque painter after deciding to dust off some old pieces of art for Buckingham Palace exhibition. Her findings were initially dismissed as imitations, but, after further investigation, the two pieces - "Boy Peeling Fruit" and "The Calling of Saint Peter and Andrew" - have been confirmed as the genuine article.

Reporters covering the Grapefruit League spring training baseball game between the Cleveland Indians and the New York Mets in Winter Haven, Florida had found another news story when a 3-foot black snake came uninvited to watch the game. The black snake stirred panic in the press box as the New York Mets defeated the Cleveland Indians 6-5 on Tuesday. The reptile ran freely across notebooks and laptop computers in the bottom of the fourth inning.
