A 26-year-old obese Chinese man first collapsed and then died last weekend after playing Internet video games non-stop for several hours. The man, who has only been identified Zhang from the city of Jinzhou hailed from China's Liaoning Province. A man has confessed to hiding the body of his dead father in a freezer for nearly two years so he could keep collecting the old man's pension money. Gaetano Sivieri, 63, was charged with fraud and concealing a body. According to a report by The Daily Record, the body was discovered by Sivieri's son Marco, 34, as he carried out some spring cleaning. Marco then alerted the police.

A fireman rescued a cooked hamster from a fiery oven after a woman placed the animal's cage on their cooker and switched it on by mistake. The pet hamster, called Christmas, was brought back to life in a miracle-like situation when his cage burst into flames. When firefighters arrived, Christmas was lying unconscious on his back with his severely burnt legs in the air and tongue hanging out. The firefighter acted promptly and gave Christmas a blast of oxygen and a few sips of the blackcurrant drink, Ribena.

At least one frolicking couple at Yale University has prompted a professor to send out an e-mail reminding students that the showers are for showering. The e-mail was sent out after a couple's romp in the shower caused the bathroom to flood and put it out of order for 90 minutes.

Neighbors in an Alaskan town aren't happy a new resident has moved into town. They say "Snowzilla," a 22-foot snowman, is causing traffic jams and they're sick of the gawkers. The two-story snowman is the actually the second. The first was built last year. The creation soon became a hit thanks to the Internet. Visitors as far away as Japan and Russia have come to visit.
