San Francisco's Drag Queen Halloween Parade Shortened

This year's annual Drag Queen Halloween Parade in San Francisco won't last as long or have as many activities because of some outsider's rowdy behavior in past years. Every year the parade has attracted hundreds of thousands of participants and viewers. But each year outsiders have become rowdier and their misbehavior caused community officials to have this year's event shortened, Bloomberg News reported Friday.

Dog Stage Mothers Charge L.A. Agency

An agency for pets called Hollywood Paws have been sued by more than a dozen owners of a Rottweiler and other dogs for not making their pooches into stars. They claim that the firm had charged them tens of thousands of dollars but failed to procure film and television auditions for their pets. "I lost a lot of money," said Rachel Armstrong, owner of Goliath the Rottweiler.

Research: Women With Longer Ring Finger Tend To Be More "Sporty"

On Thursday, the researchers at King's College London said that the length of a girl's ring finger could determine her future sporting potential. The findings, published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine, show that women with ring fingers longer than their index fingers are good at running and associated sports such as soccer and tennis which involves running.

A "peace protest" in Sri Lanka turns violent when Buddhist monks begin fighting with demonstrators. About 1,000 people were listening to speakers in a park when hardline monks took the stage and put up banners. They believe the government is too easy on the Tamil Tiger rebels. Moderate Buddhist monks were already on stage when fists began flying. Witnesses say no one was seriously injured.
