In an attempt to set a new Guinness World Record, more than 2,000 people in China's city of Changsha will take part in a singing marathon this weekend. The participants plan on singing continuously for 116 hours from Sunday to Friday to smash the current 100-hour record.

Efforts to stop construction of a nuclear power station has led a Taiwanese conservation group to stage a nude protest. The protest, called "Rather Nude than Nuke," will be set on Monday at the plant location at Funlung beach in northern Keelung county. "We demand the government stop building the Fourth Nuclear Power Plant to preserve the Fulung beach," said Ho Tsung-hsun, secretary general of the Taiwan Enviromental Protection Union.

A group of about 25 students have staged a naked protest in a town square in order to bring attention to the poor quality of education in the region of Valparaiso in Chile. According to Ananova. com, the students painted their bodies with protest slogans and said they wanted to make public their complaints about bad schooling in the region.

A children's baton team has been prohibited from marching in a Fourth of July parade because they move too slowly. According to parade organizers, spectators left the parade last year due to a 3-minute gap caused by the Redwood City Twirlers.
