Motherhood is a universal phenomenon that surpasses all boundaries. The fact became reality recently when a small abandoned kitten was adopted by a 3-year-old female dog named Lillie.

Tahoe, the kitten who was found under the hood of Eunice Collins' running Chevrolet Tahoe a few weeks ago, is being fed all day by Lillie.

Collins, who was confused by the sound of a kitten meowing as she drove her car, and told AP that she discovered the kitten from a mewing sound in her car.

Initially, Tahoe was kept in Collin's house for four days until one day she saw Lillie feeding him.

"I couldn't believe it," she said. "She has just taken Tahoe on as her baby and has been nurturing and taking care of him. They're just very close."

According to animal doctors, the discovery of the kitten has induced a false pregnancy in Lilly and also triggered her hormones to produce milk.
