A man disguised as a priest was arrested by police for checking out groceries, and then claiming that the bill was to be charged to the St. Rocco's Catholic Church, which actually had a tab at the supermarket. Police officials said that Brian Rush, who claimed that he intended to give help to the poor, scammed the supermarket Gerrity's out of $98 on Tuesday.

A string of mishaps including a missing corpse lead to the suspension of the Massachusetts Chief Medical Examiner. According to the Associated Press, state police found the body of a missing Cape Cod man buried in the wrong place after he was misidentified by the state medical examiner's office. The body that was supposed to be buried was still being stored at the office.

A 46-year-old volunteer firefighter, wearing a woman's wig and a string bikini, was charged with taking a drunken afternoon romp through Heritage Oak Park in Mason in Ohio. Steven S. Cole, who pleaded not guilty to the charges of drunken driving, public indecency and disorderly conduct; said he was on his way to a Dayton bar to compete in a contest where the top prize was $10,000. Cole, a fireman from Waynesville thus put on a blonde wig, pink sandals, and a string bikini filled out with tan water balloons.
