Maria Telleria, a spokeswoman for European observers who run the terminal, said the incident happened Thursday after a policewoman at the crossing became suspicious and ordered her to submit to a search.

A former waitress at a Brockton strip club was sentenced Wednesday to five years of supervised release after she admitted to mailing threatening letters and flammable material stuffed in condoms to seven different locations. Kimberly Lynn Dasilva, of Hull, told agents that she sent the packages because she was tired of being mistreated by men. Dasilva, 49, pleaded guilty in May.

According to a police official, two Lenawee county jail guards have been fired for allegedly giving a slice of cherry pie to an inmate after asking him to strip down and run through the complex in the buff as a dare. According to an announcement by Sheriff Larry Richardson, reported in the Daily Telegram, officials in charge of the jail "took decisive action" following the indecent incident.
