Stacy Snyder's long-cherished dream to become a teacher was shattered just a day before she was to graduate from Pennsylvania's Millersville University. The university denied Snyder a teaching degree on the eve of graduation, apparently because her MySpace photo rendered her unfit for the job.

Snyder, 27, was severely shaken last year when she learned that authorities at Millersville University had decided not to award her a teaching degree because a picture of herself posted on her MySpace profile promoted underage drinking. She was instead granted a degree in English.

The picture shows Snyder during a 2005 Halloween Party wearing a pirate cap and drinking from a plastic cup labeled "Mr. Goodbar," the Associated Press reports.

Snyder has now filed a lawsuit against the university asking for her teaching certificate along with $75,000 in damages.
