North Dakota State University's Dairy Barn has offered students to take an active part in the university's dairy farming program by paying them $9 to $12 an hour to milk the cows.
So far eight students have registered in the milking program. They say they have liked the job of playing real-life maids-a-milking.
According to the Fargo Forum, one of the "milkmaids" said they each can handle 45 to 50 cows per hour.
Although it's a peculiar campus job, herd manager San Schimek said he's open to the idea of offering the girls' services for some type of fundraiser.
