A new study says the French work the least hours of any country on Earth, while South Koreans might want to ask for more vacation time, coming in at number 1.
While South Koreans work an average of 2,317 hours a year, Americans work their fair share at 1,957.
If you live in London, you most likely work 1,782 hours with 20 days off for vacation, while if you're lucky enough to live in Paris, you stand to work only 1,481 hours a year with 27 days off.
According to the Daily Mail, the global study by Swiss banking group UBS will give fuel to the stereotype of the French worker who takes two hours lunch breaks and two months off every summer. Eight out of ten of the world's most work-shy nations were found in western Europe, the survey found. The Brazilians, who work 1,709 hours a year, and the Ukrainians, who work just three hours a year more than that, were the only non-western European countries in the top ten nations that work the least.
