A Sudanese man, who was forced to marry a goat in February 2006, recently lost his "wife" when she choked on a plastic bag browsing for food scraps in Juba, the capital of South Sudan.

The goat Rose gained internationally attention when a man named Charles Tombe was forced to marry her by local elders who caught him in the act of having sex with the goat.

BBC reports that the conservative society of South Sudan forced Tombe to marry Rose basically to embarrass him in public. Surprisingly after the wedding, goat gave birth to a kid of pure goat ancestry, which is now in his custody.

The man involved confessed to the villagers that he was drunk when he mounted Rose and was not in his senses. He was forced to pay 15,000 dinars, or about $50, for a dowry.
