Jobless laborer Mohammad Imran triggered a security panic when he made a hoax call to the U. S. embassy in Islamabad last month after relatives barred him from meeting or speaking to the woman.

On Wednesday, a 25-year-old punk rock singer dies after jumping from a limousine into early morning San Diego Freeway traffic and striking at least 12 cars. According to police, the incident occured around 5 a. m. and caused a massive traffic jam in Costa Mesa, shutting down southbound lanes and clogging streets as commuters searched for alternate routes. Lanes were reopened by 11 a. m.

Authorities say a Japanese man confessed to killing two people he met on a suicide website and who he believed shared his desire to die. Hiroshi Maeue, 36, an employee at a staffing agency, was arrested Friday on suspicion of suffocating Michiko Nagamoto, 25, in February.
