A British company will be opening a mile-high club later this year that will give couples willing to shell out hundreds of dollars the chance to fly 5,580 feet in the air on a private "love jet. " With the service, couples who have always wanted to be a part of the mile-high club can do so without the fear of facing the large fines (and embarrassment) they'd have to deal with if they attempted to join the club on a commercial flight. Couples, who are promised discretion, will have a choice of three kinds of trips: a 30-minute "Quickie," an hour-long flight, or a "VIP" flight that lasts 90 minutes. Prices range from about $500 to $1,500.

A shop in York, England, banned a 2-year-old boy from wearing a hood inside the store. Staff at the Monkton Road Store said Jay Cowper had to take off his jacket because the store has a strict "no hoods" policy. But the boy's grandfather, John Cowper, would not relent and just walked out of the store. It was freezing cold when the grandfather and grandson went to go shopping.
