A family's pet fish is being blamed for a deadly fire that nearly killed the family. Investigators believe Kipper, an eight inch catfish, nearly cost a woman and her two daughters their lives. According to The Sun, the reigning notion is that Kipper was probably fighting with a rival in their tank. Thereby allowing water to splash out of the aquarium, landing on an electric plug below. Which is believed to have sent a power surge up the tank's light cable, which burnt the plastic lid, which melted and dripped onto a leather sofa that burst into flames.

A court has cleared the way for a student to sue an Orange County school district and her principal for telling her mother she is a lesbian, announced the American Civil Liberties Union on Thursday. U. S. District Judge James V. Selna ruled that Charlene Nguon, 17, may go forward with her suit against the Garden Grove Unified School District claiming violation of privacy rights, reports The Associated Press.

Polish archeologists have solved a centuries-old mystery and have discovered the grave of 16th century astronomer Nicolaus Copernicus. The Polish astronomer, who died in 1543 challenged the ancient belief the sun revolved around the earth, was buried at the Roman Catholic cathedral in the city of Frombork, 180-miles north of Warsaw.

Max and Bessie Cohen died Monday, after being married for 74 years and nine months. What is interesting, is that Max died from complications of dementia at 97, and she in her sleep at 94, only an hour apart from each other. Daughter, Marilyn Berman of Pikesville says, "They died within an hour of one another. I still can't believe it. She died at 6 a. m. , and he died exactly an hour later. Their hearts always beat as one, and they lived that way until the end. "
