A surfing dog in Brazil has attracted so much attention that police had to be called in to remove him and his owner because "they were drawing more attraction than the actual competition. " The dog and his owner, Caruzo Mozart Volff, surfed together on the same surfboard during the intervals of the 2006 Surf World Championship held at the Praia da Tiririca in Brazil.

Seventy-three surfers broke the world record simultaneously by catching and riding the same wave off the coast off South Africa, according to organizers of a world record surfing attempt. Surfer Paul Botha who helped organize the event at Muizenberg Corner in Cape Town told AFP, "We have smashed the record. " Botha told SAFM public radio "We have registered the claim and got a claim number.

A panel has reinstated a high school teacher who was fired for looking at porn on a school computer. An arbitration panel says science teacher Robert Zellner, will return to Cedarburg High School, over the school board's objections.

There was once road rage, and then came trolley rage and now there's surf rage. An Australian surfer has been banned from riding the waves on nine Sydney beaches for harassing several people, including a church minister and a local lifeguard after clashes in the surf. The surfer, John Dunne, 34, is facing 29 counts of assault, stalking and malicious damage to property.
