Stockholm police are investigating the local chapter of biker gang Hell's Angels for alleged fraud.

Police are noticing that the same doctor certified 70 percent of the gang as depressed. As a result, reports Reuters, they are receiving state benefits for their "illness."

Christer Nilsson, deputy head of Stockholm police's criminal investigation department, tells newspaper Dagens Nyheter, "It seems to be depressing being a member of this club."

Police say that in recent years, biker gangs have been branching out into tax fraud and benefit fraud.

Up to 20 percent of workers in Sweden are on long-term sick leave or early retirement due to illness.

The government is now cracking down on benefit fraud in order to get people back to work.
