Iraqi Teen Gives Solution To 300-Year-Old Math Puzzle
A 16-year-old Iraqi immigrant in Sweden has solved a 300-year-old mathematical puzzle dubbed the Bernoulli numbers, though the formula was previously known and available, according to the Swedish press. It took Mohamed Altoumaimi just four months to find the formula for the complex calculation named after 17th century Swiss mathematician Jacob Bernoulli, the Dagens Nyheter daily reported Thursday.

It turns out that the best exercise equipment a person can have is access to a city sidewalk. Researchers say that people who live in cities are able to walk or jog on them and that increases those people's chance of getting enough exercise to help them stay healthy.
Space Tourism Flights May Begin In 2012
Tourist flights into space may soon be a reality if one leading company has its way. Spacesport Sweden hopes to begin launching tourist flights into space by 2012, with spokeswoman Johanna Bergstroem-Roos, saying, "We expect that the first tourist flights leaving from the United States will start around 2011 and that Kiruna (in northern Sweden) will be next about a year later, in 2012."
Closing Of Gender Gap Felt Most In Norway
Norway topped the list of 130 nations in the World Economic Forum's Global Gender Gap Report 2008. Oslo toppled Sweden, which was number one in 2007 but slipped to third place this year. Norway got a score of 0.824 out of a perfect score of 1, which indicates the gender gap has been closed. On second spot is Finland which third place last year. Iceland kept its fourth ranking.
