A 75-year-old lady in Karlstad, central Sweden has become the first person to surf Internet at a whooping speed of 40 gigabits-per-second. Sigbritt Lothberg is equipped with what is thought to be the fastest consumer broadband connection in the world. Karlstad city officials confirmed that Lothberg's fiber-optic connection in Karlstad is believed to be the fastest residential uplink in the world while the average speed of Internet connection in United Kingdom is 8 Mbps.

There was an unusual find on a highway in southeastern Sweden as police found a dead camel on the side of the road. Officers in Sweden say they thought the report was a joke at first, "But when the patrol got there it turned out be completely true," said police spokesman Lars Lindwall.

According to Ryan Fitzgerald's YouTube video, all he wanted to do when he gave out his cellphone number was be a good listener to anyone who needed to talk. Since his Friday message of, "I never met you, but I do care," he has received over 5,000 calls. T-Mobile, Fitzgerald's cellphone provider, has advised him that he is no longer eligible for weekend minutes. Fitzgerald's inspiration was Juan Mann's "Free Hugs," video on YouTube, which showed a man hugging strangers. He stated that the video of Luke Johnson, who posted his phone number on YouTube in September and has since received over 138 thousand calls, is very different from his video, which relates to human interaction.

Sick of the ever increasing amount of dog poop on the roads and parks, a bunch of preschoolers in Malmo, Sweden, have begun a neighborhood protest against it. On Wednesday, the young protestors marched on the streets in an attempt to force dog owners to scoop the poop.

Residents of Fjuckby, a village in Sweden, are appealing to authorities to have the name of their community be changed for obvious reasons. They said their community has become an international laughing stock as globalization has led to rude English-language associations. According to a report by The Local newspaper, villagers are facing a double embarrassment as the Swedish word "juck" means the same thing in English.
